BIG THANKS to Matt & Monica Furmanski!

643 ProjectSpace is an amazing gift to the community of Ventura and area. The place is not even a non-profit organization, I don't think they've got financial backers other than what Janet Neuwalder pays for her rent of studio space. Matt's got a great studio in the back where he does public sculpture commissions but I happen to know art shows do not make a profit, not unless the focus of the gallery is commercial and as you can see, their's is totally NOT a commercial endeavor.

As a former gallery owner myself, I was in exactly the same boat. Everyone is appreciative and people do help, but overall it can feel like a thankless job. If you have an artistic project you should approach them. They're easy to find online and Monica is a good communicator. She'll ask you what you've got in mind and ask you for a proposal.

I'd like to ask you right now, if you appreciate a place like this, please thank those two for their contribution. It's through their efforts that people realize what is possible and what we're all capable of through creativity.
